Well I finally opened up my own studio with my brother in Queens, NY! I've been wanting to do this since college and after many trials and tribulations, it is now a reality! This has been one of the main reasons I am not on dA as much as I used to be. We've been open for the last 3 weeks and so far this has been an exciting new venture, filled with many challenges and learning experiences. =)

Now for some shameless self-promotion...
If any of my watchers live in NY, close to Queens, feel free to stop by! We design/print everything from business cards to large posters/banners. Yup, if you want to make large poster prints from your artwork, we can do it! And our prices are MUCH cheaper than dA prints!

As I've mentioned in my previous journal, I'm not a fan of the v7 deviation pages here on dA, so I made my own concept of how I'd like them to be. I'm so proud to say that my little concept got a DD! [link]

Thank you guys for all the comments and and faves, perhaps the dA dev team will notice it and consider it for their next update. =)

The new header is nice and sleek but the new deviation pages are clumsy and glitchy and I hate that they got rid of the option to automatically show full-size deviations. Also, the deviation title is now under the image itself which is a little weird and will take getting used to... I'm sure I won't be the 1st or last to point these out, hope dA does something about that.

Update: Is it just me or is this site getting more messier and uglier with every little upgrade since the release of v7, specifically the deviation pages...

The TigerFlix team just put the final touches on our music site, SlyTracks.com. This site was started a while ago as OMFUG.net, but now has a better name and is being used to it's full potential. So please check it out, if you are a musician, create an artist account and share your music with the world! If you are a fan of music, create a fan account and enjoy!

Any comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated! 8-)

I don't usually write notes or journals, or anything really besides code for websites. But I just thought I'd share some thoughts I had recently. I heard someone, a few days ago, say something along the lines of "God can help you overcome any addiction and any problem" and it made me realize something. People use God as a symbol for police of free will. After all, its not God that controls what we do, but its our own will. One of the greatest quotes I ever heard was "if there's a will, there's a way" and I think that this is the philosophy that all people should live by if they want to succeed in life. People think that if they want to accomplish or acquire something, they need to pray and wait until they get it. In reality, they have the power to get anything with just their will. Most people are taught that they can have anything they want if they pray for it, or that they can get over any addiction only with God's help. If only they would realize that they can accomplish anything with the power that is inside them. If people were taught that they have that power within them, they would have more faith in mankind, rather than a deity. I'm not saying that God does or does not exist because nobody can say with complete certainty that God doesn't exist, just as nobody can say with complete certainty that he does exist. But nobody should put their entire life in the hands of an entity of uncertain existence. These are the same people who lose all faith in themselves based on a self-deluded notion that they have a curse or bad luck. The way I see it, there's no such thing as bad luck. Just bad decisions and unfortunate circumstances. Just as God is a symbol for police of free will, the devil is a symbol for full exercise of free will. Most people like to split everything into black & white, good & evil and create these symbols to avoid taking full responsibility for their own actions. There are no phantasmal forces controlling what we do or say, we have complete control. Most people aren't even aware that they have full control because they are used to being fully controlled. God, religion and government are just ways of controlling large populations and turning them into blind followers. The world is full of followers and very few leaders. In a utopian society, the meek shall inherit the earth but in today's modern society, the wolves take advantage of the sheep. The sheep need to be more like the wolves and and not just act like them. I always saw policemen and soldiers as nothing more than sheep in wolf's clothing. Policemen are, with the exception of a few, nothing more than cowards with guns. People should respect police officers as heroes not fear them as bullies. And soldiers are just expendable pods who volunteer to die, kill and torture people for an idiotic government with mindless leaders. "War is where the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter to kill each other." Before the leaders of our world became leaders, they were simple followers themselves. Now, they start wars over money and religion and actually believe that they are doing God's work, never taking responsibility for their own actions. I can understand people who think they need a God or a religion, or just something to believe in when they have nothing else. People living in poverty or in prisons who have nothing left except hope and faith. Even then, they need to realize that they have to get past all that and take action to improve their circumstances. When I see able-minded and able-bodied homeless people, I can't feel sympathy for them because they have the power to overcome, just no power of will to go through with it. I believe that once people realize the power that they possess, this world will finally reverse from the downward spiral that it is heading towards. People can agree or disagree with this theory, but in the end these are just my opinions or my drunken words of wisdom...

I read the Watchmen book after seeing the trailer and it was the most amazing thing i've ever read. This book is really ahead of it's time... one of the things that I noticed was that on Ozymandious's desk in one of the frames he has what looks like the new iMac. Seriously, check it out here: [link] looks alot like this:[link] doesnt it?

Now that's what I call ahead of it's time! 8-)

I saw the movie when it just came out in a regular theater and today in IMAX. This is the best flick I've seen in many many years. Nolan is a genius and Heath Ledger's performance is unmatched. If he doesn't win a posthumous Oscar for this performance, I'm never watching The Academy Awards again... then again I haven't watched since that 3-6 Mafia performance but whatever =)

If there are people who still haven't seen this flick (and I know a couple), get your ass in gear! And if there's anyone who hasn't experienced it in IMAX, go ASAP! OK, I'm done now... and I can't wait 'til Halloween! 8-)

Just finished watching the second season of Dexter (the last 2 episodes leaked online and I couldn't wait) and this show made me believe there are still great writers left the world. If anyone never watched the show, check it out! U gotta watch from the beginning.
